Russian-Iranian gas production company to be created - 20 March, 2003

Russia and Iran are planning to create a joint venture for the development of gas production in Iran and supplies of Iranian gas to international markets. This decision was made at the 4th meeting of the Russian-Iranian government commission for trade and economic collaboration with participation of Russia's gas giant Gazprom, the press service of the gas holding reported today. The commission came to an agreement that it would continue working on a possibility of Iranian gas supplies to India.
