Vneshtorgbank's net income for 2002 has been the largest in the bank's history. It amounted to 9.3bn rubles ($294m), the press service of this credit organization reported. The volume of net income considerably exceeded the planned figure and the 2001 result, which at that time was 2bn rubles.
The volume of the bank's net assets increased by 24 percent last year and amounted to 179.4bn rubles ($5.68bn) as of January 1, 2003. The volume of its own resources advanced from 48.8bn rubles ($1.54bn) in 2001 to 58.7bn rubles ($1.86bn) in 2002.
