Police arrested four men Wednesday on suspicion of inciting murder and a fifth was arrested on suspicion of attempting to incite racial hatred in connection with a protest last month against Danish cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.
Metropolitan Police said the five men were arrested in connection with a march on Feb. 3 from the Central London Mosque to the Danish Embassy.
Four men were arrested in London and one in the Birmingham area of central England, the Metropolitan Police said.
All five were arrested on suspicion of using words or written material to stir up racial hatred, and four of them were also arrested on suspicion of incitement to murder, reports the AP.
