Chile says it is in talks to purchase 100 tanks from Germany

Chile is negotiating the purchase from Germany of 100 &to=http://english.pravda.ru/world/2002/07/27/33324.html' target=_blank>Leopard II tanks to replace obsolete equipment, Defense Minister Jaime Ravinet said on Monday.

"It's important to say that the aim of the army is to replace old tanks that date from the Korean war," Ravinet told reporters.
