Russia and Sweden will hold joint military exercises in Sweden in winter 2006, the Russian defense minister said Sunday.
Sergei Ivanov said after talks with his Swedish counterpart Leni Bjorklund that an agreement had been reached earlier to expand direct bilateral contacts between servicemen.
The ministers agreed that environment protection was a priority in cooperation, RIA Novosti reported.
