A poll carried out by the AP on the topic of the war in Iraq showed predictable results.
Regardless of their political leanings, nearly all respondents in an AP-Ipsos poll believe in the Constitutional right to publicly criticize the war in Iraq.
Sixty percent of respondents say American troops should remain until Iraq is stable, a figure that has not changed significantly despite a well-publicized anti-war protest by the mother of a dead soldier, Cindy Sheehan.
More than half of those polled believe the U.S. erred in going to war with Iraq, and half believe the occupation has increased the risk of terrorism.
