During a visit to Portugal on November 23, &to=http://english.pravda.ru/world/20/91/368/14591_apec.html' target=_blank>Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to discuss questions of trade and economic contacts between the two countries. Russia also plans to raise such questions as the protection of rights of ethnic minorities, transit to Russia's Kaliningrad region via the territory of the EU and visa procedures for Russian citizens visiting the EU.
During talks with the President and the &to=http://english.pravda.ru/world/20/91/365/13349_Portugal.html' target=_blank>Prime Minister of Portugal, Putin plans to discuss the prospects of such international organizations as the OSCE. An important aspect of the forthcoming discussions will be the question of joining efforts of the world community to fight international terrorism.
It is also planned to exchange views on regional problems, including the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the Middle East. No documents are to be signed during the visit of the Russian President to Portugal.
