Russia doesn't make to top 10 in corruption survey

Angola, Azerbaijan, Chad, Ecuador, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Libya, Nigeria, Russia, Sudan, Venezuela and Yemen scored very low in clean government practices, said Transparency International Chairman Peter Eigen in releasing the "Corruption Perceptions Index" for 2004, informs Guardian.

According to The Washington Times, &to=http://english.pravda.ru/main/2002/08/30/35668.html' target=_blank>Transparency International said it found few surprises or major changes in its survey of 146 countries from last year.

Finland retained first, or best place, while Denmark, Iceland, Sweden and Norway also were in the top 10. The countries at the bottom of the ranking, Nigeria, Bangladesh and Haiti, have also scored very badly in the past.
