This appointment, notes the document, "is unconditionally a positive sign for Russia and the European Union, and is at the same time a confirmation of the importance of our relations and good prospects of their development in the future." In Mr. Solana's opinion, detailed knowledge and great experience of Mr. Fradkov's work directly with the European Union are a great advantage for both sides.
The message expresses the hope for continuation of good and efficient bilateral cooperation.
