Many terrorist organizations active in Russia are financed from the Mideastern region, in particular, from Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, Deputy Director of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) Vyacheslav Ushakov told State Duma deputies on Monday.
Ushakov forecasts further reinforcement of terrorist activities in the region, especially, in Iraq.
"According to our data, three days before Baghdad's surrender, Saddam Hussein ordered to distribute about 7 million units of weapons. Thus, weapons have become cheap and easy of access," he said.
