Armenian companies hope to have share in restoration of Iraq

Armenian companies will be given chance to act as subcontracts under US programs on rebuilding Iraq, the PR department of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported commenting on a decree that was recently issued by the USA. Under the decree, Armenia was excluded from the list of countries eligible for participating in Iraq's economic recovery. Negotiations between Armenia and the USA are underway and likely to result positively, the department said in its statement. Sources in the department are of the opinion that the decree holds true only for primary contracts that are hard to win for many countries on the mentioned list, the ARKA news agency reported.
