57.3 per cent of Lithuania's polled residents believe President Rolandas Paksas must resign. These are the data received by the RAIT market analysis and research group and published on Friday by a Lithuanian newspaper.
38.5 per cent of respondents spoke against the head of state's resignation.
Only young educated people aged 16-39 demand the president's resignation, while pensioners remain Paksas' supporters.
The poll was conducted December 4-7. A month ago 41 per cent of those polled supported the president's resignation while 56 per cent were against it.
