During the third assembly of the joint committee on Polish-Russian cooperation a great deal of attention was paid to science and culture. Deputy Polish Minister of Culture Rafal Skapski told journalists that 'after our meeting we can guarantee that there will be more active cultural integration between our two countries. We are going to return Polish culture to Russia and Russian culture to Poland.'
They also reached a decision to open a Russian bookshop in Warsaw and a library of contemporary Polish literature in Moscow. Another agreement was signed to produce a joint motion picture. In addition, the Russian and Polish Academies of Science are planning to organize a Russian science festival in Poland next year.
The assembly was attended by Russian and Polish Foreign Ministers Igor Ivanov and Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz.
