Eduard Shevardnadze-led bloc For New Georgia wants the new Georgian parliament to continue until extraordinary parliamentary elections, Tedo Dzhaparidze, secretary of the Georgian National Security Council, has said to journalists.
"I welcome the declaration made by the ruling bloc that the new parliament should continue until the calling of extraordinary parliamentary elections", he said.
"I see as inadmissible the change of the president by unconstitutional methods. I know that Eduard Shevardnadze is found in an information vacuum because of the actions taken by certain persons in his company. I turn to the United States, Russia and other countries - your position may prove decisive in this situation", said the secretary of Georgia's National Security Council.
"Decisions taken by the Central Election Commission and the judicial authorities have shown that the election has been held with grave violations, involving every political force of the country", Dzhaparidze said.
He invited "a real political dialogue for easing the strained situation and establishing full constitutional order".
