"Relations between France and Russia have entered the phase of political and economic trust," announced on Wednesday French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade Francois Loos.
At present, France "is confident that Russia can ensure sustainable economic growth," said the minister speaking in front of French and Russian representatives of business circles, who participated in the presentation of the Urals federal district of Russia.
In recent years, Russia has made a significant progress in overcoming political and economic instability, and the present situation opens broad possibilities for foreign investment in Russia, the minister underlined.
Mr. Loos mentioned specific examples of successful French-Russian cooperation - joint projects in the sphere of aerospace industry, energy industry, transportation, agriculture and pharmaceutical industry.
At the same time, the French minister pointed out that trade and economic relations between the two countries did not reflect the level of their political relations, which are characterized as strategic partnership.
Meanwhile, the possibilities of trade and economic cooperation are enormous, and the sides have to bring the relations in this sphere up to the level of political cooperation, Mr. Loos stressed.
He expressed hope that the current presentation of the Urals federal district in France would allow French entrepreneurs to discover vast possibilities for their businesses in the Urals region and would help the development of trade and economic partnership between the two countries, including cooperation on the level of regions and individual enterprises.
