USD 105 million of Belarussian food products will be delivered to Moscow in 2004. As a Rosbalt correspondent was informed by the Belarussian embassy in Russia, these figures have been confirmed in agreements between the Belarussian government and the Moscow administration. The agreements also include plans for further cooperation in the long-term future. Belarus is planning to deliver USD 109 million of food to Moscow in 2005 and up to USD 116 million in 2006.
According to the Belarussian embassy, 12.4 thousand tonnes of Belarussian beef and over 5 thousand tonnes of pork have been sent to the Russian capital this year. Poultry deliveries have risen to 9.5 thousand tonnes this year and 10 thousand tonnes of butter and cheese have been delivered. Potato deliveries have also begun. 700 tonnes have already been delivered.
