30 Russian companies will be represented at the international Teleforum-2003, which will take place in Geneva from October 12 through October 18, said Communications Minister Leonid Reiman during opening ceremonies of the Russian pavilion on October 13. He added that Russian telecommunications companies at the forum include Svyazinvest, Rostelecom and others.
Reiman also said that the exposition will reflect the primary tendencies in the development of Russian telecommunications, the diverse domestic market of information technology and achievements in the area of scientific research and services. He said that a special place would be given to a demonstration of trade goods and services in the area of information and communications technology, which were developed and introduced as part of the federal government's Electronic Russia program. 'Today we are working on the creation of one Eurasian telecommunications territory. The exposition represents the politics of open information and the cooperation of Russian telecommunications and its readiness to use cutting-edge world information technology,' he said.
