The conference Caspian Sea and Central Asia: Stability and Development is opening in Great Britain on Monday. It will be held at the Wilton Park conference center (West Sussex county) and Cambridge University and will end on Saturday.
As RIA Novosti was told in the organizing committee, the Russian delegation at the conference is headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and special envoy of the president of the Russian Federation on the Caspian Sea questions Viktor Kalyuzhny. His speech at Cambridge will be devoted to the geopolitical situation of Russia as a Caspian state.
Listed among the other speakers are Deputy Foreign Secretary of Great Britain Bill Rummel, OSCE Secretary-General Jan Kubish, Vice-Premier of Kyrgyzstan Dzhoomart Otorbayev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran and special envoy on the Caspian Sea questions Mehdi Safari, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan responsible for the talks on the Caspian Sea's status Khalaf Khalafov, and scientists and experts from Caspian and other states.
