Thirty organisations of the Russian military-industrial complex will present over 500 items of their production at LIMA-2003, the 7th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition in Malaysia.
Deputy general director of the Rosoboronexport foreign trade company Viktor Komardin said Friday that the Russian pavilion would exhibit around 300 pieces of aviation and naval materiel, and weapons in the form of models and posters, and over 200 items of civil and double purpose products.
The visitors can get to know the entire export line of the Sukhoi aircraft. The Su-30MK multifunctional fighter will take part in demo flights. This 4+ generation aircraft has the best flight characteristics in the world, Komardin said.
According to him, this version of the famous Su-30MK export version is the prototype of the Su-30MKM fighter created for Malaysia. A contract on supplies of 18 such fighters was signed during the visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to Malaysia last August.
