Sixteen major Bashkirian enterprises will exhibit jointly at the International Industrial Fair in Izmir, Turkey. The firms include: three giants of the petroleum-technology industry, Kauchuk, Kaustik and Soda, the machine-building firms Gidralika, the Nefgaz bus factory, and the Bashkir Trolley Factory, the Bashspirt group and Agidel, the national handicrafts firm, as well as others.
As reported to Rosbalt yesterday at the Bashkir Chamber of Trade and Industry, the Bashkirian exhibit will cover 90 square meters and be divided by groups: aircraft production, food industry, construction, machine-building, metalworking, oil and gas, pharmaceutical production, chemicals and light industry.
Rafael Baidavletov, Bashkirian's prime minister, will head the official party going to Izmir. Boris Bondarenko, chairman of the Chamber of Trade and Industry, will head the delegation of business representatives.
Izmir's International Industrial Fair is one of the world's most important. It is scheduled to run this year from August 26 through September 3. Last year's exhibitions, covering some 61,700 square meters of exhibition space, drew more than 960 businesses from 68 countries. Attendance topped 3 million.
