The Russian firm Kamov will deliver 145 KA-50-2 military helicopters to Turkey by 2010. As a Rosbalt correspondent reports, this was announced today by Sergei Mikheyev, a construction engineer at the company. He added that the contract may be signed before the end of this year. 'We have already agreed on the fundamental aspects of the deal and we have discussed all the relevant issues and problems. The negotiation process will end shortly,' said Mr Mikheyev although he declined to specify the cost of the deal. He said that the equipment for the 145 helicopters will be designed and produced by an Israeli company. The KA-50-2 helicopters will be based on the K-50 military helicopters.
