Russian President Vladimir Putin suggests experience the global community gained in Afghanistan should be used in the settlement effort in Iraq.
"We talked about political settlement in Iraq," the Russian leader said as appearing before the press with British Premier Tony Blair on Thursday.
"I think we've got good expertise, the expertise of the joint effort in Afghanistan," President Putin said, adding that the way the government was formed and legitimised there was no secret.
While working to restore Iraq, we could proceed from Afghanistan experience, said the president.
Vladimir Putin also urged Iraq's economic revival.
