Report On Nuclear Security of Iran being heard out in Vienna

The themes set forth in the report of IAEA Director-General Mohammed el-Baradei On Nuclear Security of Iran will be a major question of the Monday meting of the Board of Managers of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the secretariat of this organisation disclosed in Vienna.

The IAEA budget for 2004-2005, the issues of the struggle against international terrorism, and nuclear verification in a number of countries will also be discussed at the meeting. The report of the head of the IAEA on observance by Iran of the Treaty on Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and of the agreement on safety of operation of nuclear facilities, signed by Iran and the IAEA on May 15, 1974, figure among these themes.

As a high-ranking source in the IAEA secretariat noted, the Monday meeting must dot all the "i's" and express the IAEA's objective stand on the actual state of affairs in the field of Iranian nuclear developments, and must answer the question, whether Teheran is engaged in such developments, which will lead it to possession of thermonuclear weapons.

"After such an unbiased assessment it will be possible to speak also of a necessity to take measures with regard to Teheran but not before it," the source added.
