Moscow is ready to usher in a more active approach to Korean settlement, if the parties concerned feel it necessary, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said at a news conference in Helsinki on Tuesday, where he had come to on an official visit.
The minister reminded those present that official Moscow spoke out for the non-nuclear status of the Korean Peninsula and for settlement of every issue through a political dialogue. Igor Ivanov hailed the talks that had been held in Beijing with the participation of the North Korea, the US and China.
It is necessary "to take into account interests of all the parties", when adjusting the situation in the Korean Peninsula, the top Russian diplomat underlined.
