Executive power in the US has forgotten that it doesn't have a monopoly on truth, said financier and philanthropist George Soros in a press conference in Moscow on Monday. He said that he is against George Bush's doctrine about making preventive military strikes against those countries 'which represent mythical danger to the US.' Soros said that the current US doctrine rests on two pillars: US will 'at all costs preserve and support its military superiority in hot spots and moreover US will keep for itself the right of a first preventive military strike anywhere in the world.' 'If you follow these two arguments to their logical conclusions it works out that in the world there exist two types of sovereignty: sovereignty of the US, prevailing over all international obligations and agreements, and the sovereignty of other countries in which the interests of the US and the Bush doctrine are represented,' said Soros.
