Days of High Russian Technologies are opening in London on Wednesday. As the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Great Britain disclosed, the two-day forum is organised by the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technologies of the Russian Federation and the Ministry for Trade and Industry of the United Kingdom. The Russian delegation is headed by Deputy Minister of Industry and Science Vladimir Fridlyanov.
The Embassy staffers noted that this event "is aimed at discussing concrete technological and investment projects and at developing the channels for bilateral information exchange in the sphere of high technologies".
About 60 projects and technologies from Russia, thoroughly selected by Russian and British experts, will be presented to the public and specialists within the framework of the Days. New materials, protection of the environment, instrument-making (including optical and electronic devices), and energy saving were picked among the directions of mutual interest.
"The general purpose of the forum in the work of which, alongside industrialists, businessmen and financiers, also representatives of the state structures will take part, is to demonstrate the prospects of Russian-British cooperation in the spheres relating to the development and promotion of advanced technologies and organisation of high-technology production units," the Russian Embassy's staffers noted.
One plenary and four subject meetings of sections with the participation of British and Russian representatives will be held within the framework of the Days.
