Exhibition-fair of CIS countries in Kiev

The second interstate exhibition-fair of industrial technologies, means of production, goods and services of the CIS member countries will be held at the National Complex Expotsentr Ukrainy in Kiev from May 14-17.

As deputy chairman of the Executive Committee - Executive Secretary of the CIS Vladimir Fedorov said, a wide range of products, from know-how to consumer goods, will be offered to attention of the visitors of the exhibition, which is part and parcel of the interstate trade process.

It is intended, in particular, to exhibit new types of products in the spheres of machine-building, fuel and energy complex, metallurgy, chemistry and petrochemistry, and wood-working.

According to Fedorov, today the interstate exhibition-fair "acquires a more or less systems character compared to the first one, which was devoted to the 10th anniversary of the CIS".

As officials of the CIS Executive Committee said, the purpose of the exhibition is to help broaden trade-economic relations of the Commonwealth countries, to develop cooperation in industry and the scientific-technical sphere, and to develop high-tech and competitive products, as well as to attract investments into the industry of the CIS states.

The second interstate exhibition-fair is being held by the proposal of the government of Ukraine and with the support of the CIS Economic Council.
