The Kayo Maru training ship of the marine higher school arrived from the Japanese prefecture Niigata to Vladivostok, an administrative center of Russia's Maritime Territory on the western coast of the Sea of Japan.
The guests were welcomed at the marine terminal by the cadets of the Marine State University named after Admiral Nevelsky, a RIA Novosti correspondent was told at the university's press center.
During the three-day stay in Vladivostok future Japanese seamen will see the sights of the city and its museums, visit the Marine University, the Far Eastern Fisheries University and the Marine Fishery College.
It was pointed out in the press center that cooperation between future seamen of Vladivostok and Niigata has a fairly long record, and an agreement on friendly relationships was signed between the higher schools of both cities in 1977.
