Georgian President Edward Shevardnadze will take advantage of NATO Secretary-General George Robertson's upcoming visit to Tbilisi on May 14 to clear up the prospects for Georgia's integration into the alliance.
According to Shevardnadze, who announced this during a traditional Monday briefing, the sides are going to discuss the current state of the Georgian armed forces, the progress of the reform, and the Defence Ministry's plans for the next couple of years.
"I think we are much better prepared now than we were a year ago, when Georgia submitted an official application to NATO," said Shevardnadze.
