The development of the Russo-American dialogue in the spheres of energy and banking will be discussed during the meeting between Igor Ivanov and Colin Powell, the Official Spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Aleksander Yakovenko disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent in view of Powell's May 14-15th visit to Moscow.
According to him, "bilateral economic co-operation will be in the focus of the meeting." "The co-operation in the sphere of high-tech development including the peaceful space exploration will be also discussed," Yakovenko disclosed.
The prospects of Russia's joining the WTO and the Organisation of the Economic Co-operation and Development, its full-fledged membership in the Financial Action Task Force /FATF/ and its withdrawal from the notorious Jackson-Vanik amendment are also to be discussed during the meeting, Yakovenko said.
