Russian Interior Minister Boris Gryzlov takes part in the meeting of the Interior and Justice Ministers of the Group of Eight Countries which opens on Monday in the Paris Centre of International Conferences.
France, which is at present the chairman of the G-8, will be represented by Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozi and Justice Minister Dominique Perben.
As the French Interior Ministry reported, the agenda of the meeting consists of several items, the central one of which is the fight against terrorism. The ministers will express their opinions and assessments concerning the degree of the terrorist threat in the world today and will consider security measures which the law enforcement bodies will have to take in reply to this threat.
Apart from that, the agenda includes the questions of protecting information infrastructures and the fight against children's pornography.
Special attention is planned to be paid to juridical cooperation in the sphere of preventing financial crimes, including ensuring transparency of financial flows and the procedure of freezing, arrest and confiscation of deposits.
