Swedish Government Accused of Taking Hypocritical Stance on Iraq War

The Swedish Peace and Arbitration Society has accused the Swedish government of hypocrisy. According to Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter, Chairman of the society Maria Ermanno claims that the US is one of the leading importers of Swedish arms and ammunition and, what is more, the Peace and Arbitration Society insists that some of this equipment is already being used by US forces in Iraq.

Ms Ermanno believes that Sweden's refusal to stop selling arms to the US and Great Britain, which are currently waging war against Iraq, goes against the official policy of the Swedish government of not supporting military action in Iraq.
