A Proton-K rocket is to orbit a military satellite on Thursday, lifting off from the Baikonur space centre at 7.13 p.m. Moscow time. This was disclosed to RIA Novosti here today at the press service of Russia's Space Force.
A Proton-K heavy-duty launch vehicle was positioned on the launch pad July 22, press-service people noted. Pre-launch operations are being completed in line with the relevant launch-day schedule. Space Force detachments and specialists from the Khrunichev state-run space science-and-production center are busy checking the rocket's systems, as well as those of the satellite proper.
