Officials from the Swiss Skyguide air-traffic control company will be prosecuted in Germany and Switzerland alike for the July 2nd mid-air collision that involved a Tupolev Tu-154 passenger jet-liner from Russia and a Boeing B-757 cargo plane in Skyguide's zone of responsibility. 71 people were killed as a result.
The German prosecutor's office has already instituted criminal proceedings against one air-traffic controller and several Skyguide officials, suspecting them of man-slaughter. Similar criminal proceedings have also been instituted in Switzerland.
