Preparations for and the utilisation of the Kursk wrecked submarine will not take more than two months, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov told a press conference in Norway.
In the course of negotiations he had there, Ivanov informed his Norwegian colleagues of what is being done about the wrecked nuclear submarine.
At the present moment all the required fragments of the first section, in which the blast happened, and explosion-dangerous elements have been raised, he said. The military have strictly abided by instructions from the prosecutor's office, noted Sergei Ivanov.
"Upon relative technical preparations explosive elements will be liquidated and the wrecked sub salvaged," said the defense minister.
In his opinion, all this work will not take more than two months.
