A driver's negligence has accounted for a bus accident in Dagestan.
While driving down a mountain highway, the driver left the gear-box in a neutral position while keeping the engine on, which is absolutely inadmissible while driving in the mountains, said an officer on duty at the Dagestani State Car Inspection. As a result, the passenger bus, a PAZ, crashed into a precipice nine kilometers away from the district center of Sergokala.
According to the Dagestani interior ministry, four passengers and the driver died on the spot. 33 people were rushed to a hospital, 10 of them are in a grave condition.
