Russia and China strengthen their cooperation in humanitarian sphere

Vice-Premier of the government of Russia Valentina Matviyenko and Vice-Premier of the State Council of the PRC Li Lanqing will discuss a wide range of questions of bilateral relations of Russia and China in the humanitarian fields on Thursday at the third meeting of the Russian-Chinese commission on cooperation in the sphere of education, culture, health services and sport.

The work on mutual assistance with the centre of the Chinese language in Russia and of the Russian language in China will be a theme for discussion at the meeting of the commission, the press secretary of the Russian Vice-Premier said.

Besides that, Matviyenko and Li Lanqing intend to discuss documents helping implement the plans to establish joint higher educational establishments and to open cultural centres of the two countries in Moscow and Beijing.

Presumably, the questions of development of tourism and cooperation of the National Olympic Committees and sports federations of Russia and China will also be discussed at the third meeting of the Russian-Chinese commission.
