Director of the Russian Federal Frontier Service (FPS) Konstantin Totsky on Tuesday will fly from Japan, where he was on a working visit, to Honolulu (Hawaii, the USA). As the RIA Novosti correspondent was told in the press centre of the Russian Federal Frontier Service, its director will take part in the meeting of the heads of the Frontier Services and the Patrol Forces Departments of the northern part of the Pacific region which will take place in Honolulu on July 16-18.
The sides plan to discuss the state and the development of multilateral cooperation for 2003. Apart from that, they plan to approve a Joint Statement on intentions with regard to acts of terrorism at sea.
Alongside the Russian representatives, the meeting will also be attended by the delegations of the Patrol Forces of the United States, the Japanese Department on Security at Sea, the National Agency of the Marine Police of Korea, the Canadian Patrol Forces and the Public Security Ministry of China.
