Vladivostok launches Russian Korean "Friendship Train" program

On Monday, Vladivostok launched a Russian-Korean program called Friendship Train. According to a source in the territorial administration, a Korean Friendship Train delegation headed by South Korea's deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Kim Kang Khun has already arrived in Vladivostok.

The program begins with a protocol meeting between Kim Kang Khun and South Korea's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Chon Tae Ick on the one hand and Primorye's Governor Sergei Darkin on the other. After the meeting, the sides will inaugurate the opening of an exhibition of Korean products called LG-Planet and a seminar/presentation of the territory of Primorye. Simultaneously, Vladivostok's Okean movie house will host a festival of Korean films and a photo exhibition dedicated to South Korea.

On July 16th, the Friendship Train will leave Vladivostok and set out on a 11,000-kilometre journey to St. Petersburg. On its way to St. Petersburg, it will make stops in Khabarovsk, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, and Moscow.
