Search for victims' remains and fragments of Tu-154 and Boeing-757 aircraft is over in Germany

The search for the remains of the victims and the fragments of the aircraft has finished in the environs of Ueberlingen town, near Boden Lake (the south of Germany) where the Russian passenger airliner Tu-154 and the cargo airplane Boeing-757 crashed on July 2 night, representative of local police Markus Sauter told RIA Novosti.

According to him, 62 out of the 71 victims of the air crash, among them 40 children and 22 adults, have been identified by today. Experts hope to complete the identification of the bodies by the end of Friday. Sauter did not rule it out that in the subsequent days the local inhabitants can find by chance small fragments of the aircraft, personal effects of the victims, and "fragments of their bodies" in the area of the search. The German authorities addressed the population with the insistent request to immediately inform police in such cases.

A mourning ceremony in memory of the victims of the July 2 air crash will be held at Ueberlingen on Friday.

From this morning, by the ordinance of the German Minister of the Interior state flags in the province of Baden-Wuerttemberg have been lowered to half-mast as a token of mourning.
