On Friday, Russian border guards handed over to Georgian border guards four bandits, all Georgia's nationals, detained on June 25 when they tried to make an illegal crossing of the Russian-Georgian border, said Sergei Livantsov, head of the press-service of the North Caucasian regional department of the border service.
The intruders were detained by frontier guards of the provisional border post Kalak in the course of a search and reconnaissance mission. Those detained lacked any documents but carried arms -- three automatic rifles and a carbine with erased numbers, cold steel, ammunition, binoculars and other observation devices.
