Russian border guards arrest four trespassers on Tajik-Afghan border

Russian border guards have arrested four trespassers of the Tajik-Afghan border. According to the press service of the Tajik department of the Russian Frontier Service, on Friday, troops assigned to the Ishkashim border unit arrested three violators without necessary papers on the bank of the River Pyanj. In addition, border guards from the Al-Kul border station arrested a Tajik citizen who tried to illegally cross the border.

According to the press service, on July 5th, Russian soldiers assigned to the Ishkashim checkpoint let through a shipment of humanitarian aid for Afghanistan. The shipment contained 160 tons of wheat.

On Saturday, servicemen of the Moskovsky border unit with Russian and Tajik journalists in attendance destroyed /burnt/ 187.22 kg of heroine, confiscated on July 4th-5th on a border sector.
