In the nearest future an Egyptian representative will visit Israel and Palestine

On Thursday Egyptian Ambassador in Moscow Reda Shehata stated that in the nearest future a high-ranking Egyptian official would visit Israel and Palestine and would hold negotiations there with representatives of both countries. According to him, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarrak opined that it was necessary to dispatch an Egyptian representative to meet the leadership of the Palestinian National Authority and Israel to carry out further consultations and to coordinate Egyptian efforts in the process of the Middle East settlement.

According to the Egyptian Ambassador in Russia, presently Egypt is devoting its attention to two major objectives: to do away with the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and also to bring together Israeli and Palestinian approaches on matters of settlement. At the same time the head of the Egyptian diplomatic representative office in Moscow specified that the name of the high-ranking Egyptian representative was not yet made public but he confirmed with confidence the very fact of the visit.
