Families of plane collision victims arrive in Germany

Families of air crash victims have begun arriving in Germany, where they are accommodated in the village of Owingen. The families are accompanied by German psychologists, who are ready to render them necessary support.

At 2:00 p.m. local time, Thomas Schoeble, the Interior Minister of Baden-Wuerttenburg, and Leonid Kashirsky, a deputy chairman of the Russian commission responsible for investigating air traffic accidents, will give a joint press conference in the town of Ueberlingen.

Russia's Tu-154 jet belonging to Bashkirian Airlines and a Boeing-757 belonging to DHL company collided above Boden See, Southern Germany on the night of July 2, killing the 12 crew and 57 passengers on board the Tu-154 and the 2 pilots on board the Boeing. Of the passengers, 52 were children who headed for a vacation in Spain.
