First remains found at the site of aircrash

The remains of 15 victims have been found at the scene of the Tu-154-Boeing-757 aircrash. They are the bodies of 14 adults and 1 child. A spokesman for the ground control of Ueberlingen near the site of the accident said as much on the phone. The Tu-154 aircraft operated by the Bashkirian Airlines carried children who were flying to Barcelona to spend their holidays as a reward for their good performance at school.

According to the Bashkirian representative office in Moscow, the children were sent to Spain by the UNESCO committee of Bashkiria. They were the best students of a specialised UNESCO school and winners of different competitions.

The Tu-154 collided with the cargo Boeing-757 aircraft 12 km above Germany.

According to a spokesman for the airlines, there were only eight kids under 12 on the list who had children tickets, 37 kids under 16 who had adult tickets and six accompanying people.
