There is no doubt that Russia will be handed an invitation to attend the NATO countries summit due next autumn in Prague, pressmen were told by Rolf Welberts, head of NATO's Information Bureau in Moscow.
Welberts noted that "Russia is expected" at the Prague summit.
The NATO Information Bureau which Rolf Welberts heads, was opened in Moscow on February 20, 2001. Its main task was to work with the press and with public opinion, take part in conferences, seminars and disseminate material in the press.
It was noted at the press conference that the main aim of the NATO military liaison mission in Moscow is to develop practical military cooperation between NATO's military organization and the Russian Defence Ministry.
