An official Filippino delegation headed by Speaker Jose de Venecia of the national Congress, continues its tour of the Russian Far East. Filipino guests were received by Vladivostok municipal administrator Yury Kopylov here today, discussing prospects for business-like cooperation between the Republic of the Philippines and Russia's Primorye (Maritime) territory. (Vladivostok is the administrative center of Primorye territory -- Ed.) Filipino representatives said their country was interested in importing Russian oil and timber. Moreover, the Philippines would like to export its agricultural produce and industrial goods and to promote tourism, as well. The chief of the Filipino delegation also noted that his country's Government was ready to send its experts to Primorye territory for the sake of learning more about major local defense and timber-industry factories.
