Fighting terrorism was among the priorities during Moscow talks between Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov and Portuguese foreign minister, OSCE incumbent chairman Antonio Martins da Cruz.
At the press conference afterwards da Cruz spoke on the results of international and regional organizations' activities for fighting terrorism. Their meeting was held on June 12 in Lisbon.
The Portuguese minister briefed Ivanov on the session of "trio" in Lisbon and on the final documents signed after it.
Da Cruz believes that during the Moscow meeting the Russian party has made a number of important proposals that will be considered when preparing a session of the OSCE foreign ministers due in December in Lisbon.
Apart from this, the talks focused on discussing two agreements, on tourism and investment protection, the Portuguese minister said. The work on these is not completed yet, and "it is necessary to create a new impulse for signing the documents as soon as possible," he said.
