It is still unclear if Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov will attend the July 2 meeting of foreign ministers from GUUAM countries /Georgia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova/ in Baku, reported Gabil Kosharli, who heads the Information Department at the Azerbaijani foreign ministry.
Baku has invited a Uzbek delegation and expects it to attend, but Tashkent so far has not officially confirmed it arrival, said the diplomat, adding that Uzbekistan did not withdraw from the GUUAM, but instead raised a question "about the expediency of being a member" of this organization.
The other three parties have already confirmed their participation in the session, which will focus on preparations for a late July summit meeting of GUUAM countries in Yalta, Ukraine.
