Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a letter of greetings to participants in a meeting of the G8 national Youth Chamber presidents.
The Russian presidential press service told RIA Novosti that in the letter of greetings Putin called the work of the G8 Youth Chambers "an important factor of modern international policies." This activity, the Russian president said, "reflects the ambition of youth to become active and full-fledged contributors to the resolution of topical problems humankind is faced with and serves a broader integration of civil society in finding solutions to the key problems of the globalisation epoch." "I am sure that the energy, tenacity and creativity of the young generation will contribute to orienting the global processes towards establishment of a secure and stable world order of the 21st century on a democratic and fair basis and in the interests of all states and nations," Putin said.
"No doubt, youths from the leading industrial countries are called on to play a special role in attaining this goal," the Russian president concluded wishing all participants in the forum every success in their work.
